Indexation
At Mental Health Open, we are committed to ensuring our journal is widely accessible and recognised in leading academic databases.
Currently, we are indexed in:
Google Scholar |
Our journal is not yet indexed in many databases due to the ongoing process of meeting indexing requirements, including a number of published articles, structured metadata, consistent URLs, and accessibility standards.
Why is Mental Health Open not fully indexed yet?
-
Technical Adjustments: We are refining our metadata and ensuring compliance with indexing standards.
-
Application Process: Indexing requires formal submissions to databases such as PubMed, DOAJ, and others, which take time for review and approval. Some databases are fee-based.
-
Indexing Requirements: To provide articles with a DOI, we must obtain the ISSN. To have an ISSN, we need to publish one full volume of at least 10 articles; for PubMed indexing, we need 25 peer-reviewed articles published, for DOAJ, 10 articles, etc. As soon as the initial requirements for certain databases are met, we will apply for indexation. As soon as we are accepted, we will inform you via this page and our newsletters.
